“Happy teachers, happy classroom, make happy future”

A workshop on Happy Classroom was organized by CBSE at Lady Anusuiya Singhania Education Center Jhalawar. As a resource person by CBSE, Dr. Nischal Gupta Principal Poddar International School Ratlam and Ms. Sampadas Deputy Principal Ekeyana School Indore were appointed.
The workshop started by garlanding the portraits of Godess Saraswati and Lady Anusuiya and lighting the lamp. Principal of the school Dr. Arunesh Saxena welcomed guests by presenting a bunch of flowers. Under the guidance of music teacher Tulsiram Saini, the girl students presented Saraswati Vandana. Shri Ram Stuti was presented in the form of classical dance by the students under the guidance of dance teacher Pinky Rawal.
Principal Dr. Arunesh Saxena welcomed the guests and all the participants. He said to participants that try to know each of your student. Not only will this help students feel comfortable in the classroom, but it will help you also as a teacher to create a caring classroom community.
Dr. Nischal Gupta explained through various activities that as a teacher you should do everything you can to make students academically successful. Incorporate technology and collaboration whenever appropriate. Be clear in giving the assignment. Give constructive feedback. Don't forget to celebrate the success of the children.
Ms Sampadas explained in the form of several activities that if you want to have a happy class you need to establish a positive relationship with them regularly. When a student misbehaves, try to have a private talk. Publicly humiliating a student will only make things worse. Students will not care much if he knows you are not interested in him. But once he realizes that you care, he'll be more willing to listen to you.
Head of Hindi Department, Manish Chaturvedi said that a teacher needs to implement policies, procedures that promote physical, social and emotional safety. Let the students have a say inside the class and listen to their feelings. Ankur Sharma of Sigma School also told that workshop was very fruitful.
Teachers from all the CBSE schools of Jhalawar city participated in the workshop. The workshop was successfully conducted by Piyush Mathur, Head of the Department of English. In the end, HOD Social Science , Mrs D S Ratna proposed the vote of thanks.
